Things to think about when considering a custom rod
The process, the timeline, and the cost:
We are determined to build the best possible rods, from the best possible materials, so anglers can pursue fishing with an instrument that serves their exact purpose, and represents them in a unique and personal manner. All rods are designed by getting to know our anglers and what makes them tick. Once we know what they are doing with the rod and how it represents them, the rods are constructed from finest material we can source for that particular customer within their budget. Every detail is carefully curated with the customer, to their exact specifications, in order to build a one of kind fishing rod.
The process takes at least 8 weeks from consultation to delivery. It can take longer depending supply chain issues or the complexity of the build.
Things to Consider Prior to Ordering:
- Budget…custom rods are not for everyone, as they can be expensive.
- Type of Fishing…Knowing what type of fishing you intend to do can help us determine material requirements
- Technique Specific…Is there a certain technique the rod will be used for? For example; a drop-shot rod, used for bass fishing, will most likely be made from a higher modulus blank, which is lighter and more sensitive, over 7’ long with a lighter power rating and a fast to extra-fast action.
- Are there certain components or component placement you would prefer. For example reel seat brand, type or placement.
- What can we do to make the build unique or representative of the angler.
